Spring Enrichment 2025

Aloha, Spartan Families!

Thank you for your interest in the Extended Learning Spring Enrichment Program! We’re excited to offer an array of classes that not only promote learning but also encourage creativity, teamwork, and personal growth. Students will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities, explore new subjects, and develop skills that extend beyond the classroom.

We encourage you to review the course catalog to discover the variety of topics available, ranging from karate to science experiments, soccer, golf, piano, hula, coding, and much more. Our instructors are passionate about their subjects and dedicated to creating a positive and inspiring learning environment for every child.

If you have any questions or need assistance in selecting the right class for your child, please feel free to reach out. We’re here to help and look forward to an enriching spring session filled with fun and exploration!

Registration opens on Monday, 12/2/2024, at 8:30 AM and will close on Thursday, 12/13/2024, at 8:30 AM.

The payment process for parents through Tuition Management is:
  1. To access Tuition Management, login to MyMaryknoll school account

  2. Click on Resource tab

  3. You will then see a bunch of tiles (boxes). Click on the tile that reflect Tuition Management

  4. This will redirect you to Tuition Management. Ensure you are in the 2023–2024 SY

  5. Click on Purchase Optional Items

  6. Select student; select fee to pay. Save.

  7. Check on 2 boxes to consent to agreement; click Agree to continue.

  8. Pay Now. Check Out. Note: if paying by debit or credit card, a 2.9% convenience fee will be assessed. If paying by checking or savings, no fee will be charged.
 
NOTE: For non-ASC students, please be sure to also purchase the “ENR – Additional $___ Charge (Non-ASC)” as part of your shopping cart item, as childcare support will be provided for the days that your child has enrichment class.

    Alpha Chess!

    Discover the fascinating world of chess at our after-school program! Our engaging and interactive sessions are designed to nurture critical thinking skills, strategic planning, and enhance decision-making abilities in young minds.     Professional Golf Lessons

    We are excited to announce the creation of a new golf program at Maryknoll aimed at expanding the game of golf! Open to students in grades Kindergarten through second grade, this program is founded by award-winning golf professionals and dedicated elementary school teachers.

    Our after-school enrichment classes will cover all facets of the game, including grip, driving, iron play, short game, and the mental aspects of golf. Practice sessions will be tailored to be age-appropriate, welcoming students of all skill levels. We provide golf equipment, ensuring that each student receives personalized attention right on campus. Join us to unlock the endless possibilities of this timeless game, fostering friendships, and a passion for learning that will last a lifetime!

  • Keiki Coders: Intro to Python Coding (Gr. 7–8)

    Keiki Coders: Intro to Python Coding

    Dive into the amazing world of coding and learn the language used by tech giants Google and NASA. In this introductory course, students learn the fundamentals of Python programming and data science while working to solve real-world challenges. Students will build hands-on projects such as chatbots, calculators, number guessing games, and more. No prior programming experience required.

    • Grades: 7th – 8th

    Keiki Coders: Virtual Reality World Builders

    Embark on an exciting adventure in the world of virtual reality! This enrichment class is designed for students to explore the fundamentals of coding while unleashing their creativity by building their own virtual worlds, characters, and interactive experiences. With no prior programming experience required, students will have the opportunity to develop their skills and imagination in this dynamic and engaging course.

  • Lego (Gr. 1–3)

    Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO®

    Looking for a STEM-based class that offers a unique and engaging learning experience that combines fun and education? Each six-week theme guides kids through a structured lesson, where they build a project using LEGO bricks, connect it to a motor and battery, and bring their creation to life. This hands-on approach helps children develop STEM skills while having a blast. After the guided lesson, kids enjoy free-play time to unleash their creativity and imagination, turning LEGO bricks and motors into anything they can dream up.

    Fun is always part of the equation, and we’re here to learn from our play, too. Bricks 4 Kidz has a team of teachers who are fully vetted and trained to lead discussions and teach STEM concepts. Kids can learn about the practical basics of torque and friction or the fascinating world of space exploration and moviemaking.

    We believe there’s immeasurable value in seeing your imagination come to life in front of you. Kids get this experience alongside their peers as they team up to create something from concept to completion. This collaborative experience teaches the value of teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Lovely Hula Hands (Gr. K–2)

    Lovely Hula Hands: A Cultural Enrichment Class

    Join us for a fun and engaging cultural enrichment class, "Lovely Hula Hands," where kindergarten to 2nd graders will learn the traditional Hawaiian art of hula dancing, music, and history.

    In this 45-minute, weekly class, students will discover the basic hula motions and dance steps while being introduced to traditional Hawaiian instruments such as the ukulele and `Uli`uli (Hawaiian feather gourd rattles). Our expert instructor will guide them through a series of fun and interactive lessons that will have them moving and grooving to the rhythm of the islands.

    Throughout the semester, students will learn about the rich history and significance of hula dancing in Hawaiian culture, including its origins, symbolism, and connection to the natural environment. They'll also explore the different styles of hula dancing, such as Kahiko (ancient) and Auana (modern), and learn to appreciate the unique rhythms and instruments used in traditional Hawaiian music.

    By participating in "Lovely Hula Hands," students will develop their gross motor skills, coordination, and confidence while having a blast making new friends and creating lifelong memories. Who knows? You might just discover a new passion or talent!

    Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program that combines fun, fitness, and sportsmanship to positively impact young lives. Our caring team of coaches delivers best-in-class instruction, curriculum, and communication to help children grow both on and off the field.

    In our Premier Class, we focus on individual skill development, physical fitness, and teamwork, providing an opportunity for kids to challenge themselves through engaging games and interactive activities. We introduce competition in a developmentally appropriate manner, ensuring every child has a blast while building confidence and character.

    Sports Jam: Fun, Fitness, and Teamwork!

    Get ready for a safe, exciting, and fun after-school sports and fitness program! Sports Jam introduces kids to basic skills and controlled scrimmages in various team sports, emphasizing health and wellness while teaching positive life lessons through teamwork. Learn low-impact speed and quickness skills and drills to improve agility and coordination. Participate in team relays and scrimmages to build communication and teamwork skills. Positive coaching is used to promote self-confidence, self-esteem, and good sportsmanship.
