Find your voice in experimentation and exploration…Students begin their visual arts experience in grade K and move to formal classes in grades 2-5. Middle-level students(grades 6-8) may choose art as an elective course. The high school Visual Arts Program is designed for students who possess a strong artistic interest, dedication, and enthusiasm to study a variety of media and the nature of the creative process in fun and challenging ways. Studio classes in Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Photography, Graphic Design, Film, Portfolio Development, and AP Art promote personal innovation and intellectual rigor. Research, critical thinking, analysis, and discussion of student works are all essential components of the curriculum. Each art course culminates in a final art exhibit highlighting each student’s achievement.
