Dr. Rosita Leong

A pathologist by training, Dr. Leong graduated with a degree in medicine from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines in 1963. She served as Chief of Pathology at the Metropolitan Hospital in Manila until 1982. Since then, Dr. Leong has focused her efforts on a wide range of investment activities from real estate to publicly traded equities, options and other securities, to private equity and venture capital funds in addition to her many philanthropic activities.
Dr. Leong previously served as a director of Asian Securitization and Infrastructure Pte. Ltd., a venture involving Asian governmental and banking institutions that provided credit enhancement and related advisory services to financial and capital market participants.
In addition to her personal pursuits, Dr. Leong currently serves in the following capacities: University of Hawaii Foundation, trustee; Director of the Ricardo Leong Center for Chinese Studies at Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines; Pacific Asia Affairs Council Board of Governors, member; Dr. Rosita Leong Mini-Medical School at the University of Hawaii School of Medicine, member; Variety School of Hawaii, Board of Trustees, member.
