Global Learning in Action: Maryknoll Students Experience Beijing

Maryknoll School
This past spring, our 4th and 5th-grade students embarked on a cultural and educational exchange to Beijing, China; an unforgettable journey that deepened their understanding of language, culture, and community beyond the classroom.
During their visit, students spent time at our partner school, Beiwei Fuxiao, where they participated in collaborative learning activities, shared classroom experiences, and connected with local students through art, games, and conversation.

Outside the classroom, our students explored Beijing’s most iconic landmarks, including the Great Wall of China, Forbidden City, and Summer Palace, gaining firsthand insight into China’s rich history and traditions. From cultural workshops to daily reflections, every moment was filled with curiosity, friendship, and growth.

This trip exemplifies Maryknoll’s mission to form global citizens rooted in faith, academics, and community — students who learn to see the world through a wider lens while representing our school with pride and aloha.
