Living Stations of the Cross: A Sacred Journey Led by Our 3rd Graders

Maryknoll School
This past Friday, our 3rd-grade students presented a powerful reenactment of the Living Stations of the Cross inside the newly renovated Bachelot Hall at Sacred Heart Church. This spiritual and educational milestone offered our young learners a profound opportunity to walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ and reflect on his passion, sacrifice, and resurrection.
Through this moving performance, students developed a deeper understanding of the events central to Christian faith and a tangible connection to the meaning of Lent and Easter. Each station was accompanied by reflection, prayer, and song, culminating in a stirring celebration of Jesus’ resurrection.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our 3rd-grade teacher, Ms. Adversalo, Mrs. Pettit, and Ms. Souza, especially our Elementary Religion Teacher, Mr. Jeremiah Carter, whose leadership and creative vision made this production possible. From coordinating support staff to personally handcrafting the entire stage set, Mr. Carter’s dedication to helping young people encounter Christ through action, service, and storytelling shone throughout this project.

We are also deeply thankful to those who supported this special event behind the scenes:
Mrs. Malefyt, Mr. Bulatao, Aunty Wendy, Mrs. Shelverton, Mrs. Shiinoki-Ho, our Campus Ministry team, the I.T. Department, Sacred Heart Church, Pastor Fr. EJ Resinto, and Fr. Francis Nguyen. Your time and talent brought this sacred moment to life.

We invite our Maryknoll ‘ohana to watch the full video of this year’s Living Stations of the Cross, and join us in prayer, reflection, and awe at the faith of our youngest students.
