Applying to Maryknoll School

Thank you for your consideration of Maryknoll School for your child's education! Our online applications are accepted for grades K-12.

Students are accepted at all grade levels with major entry points of Kindergarten, Grade 6 and Grade 9. Special consideration is given to qualified alumni children, siblings of current Maryknoll students, Catholic families, and children with special talents who will enrich the school’s community.

To begin the application process, please create a Ravenna account to fill out and submit your online application. Ravenna makes it easy and convenient for you to ensure that your application is complete. Through Ravenna, you can:

- Check the status of your application.

- See upcoming deadlines and important dates.

Once you have created your Ravenna account, our Admission Team will be in touch regarding your interest in Maryknoll School. Beyond the information in the required documents, we want to get to know you and your child to ensure that Maryknoll is the place where he or she will thrive.

  • Kindergarten and Grade 1 Requirements

    • On-site small-group observation
    • Teacher recommendation
    • Final progress report from previous school year (if available)
    • Mid-year progress report for current school year (if available)
    • Parent questionnaire
    • Birth certificate (copy)
      • Baptismal certificate (if Catholic)
    • A child must be five years old by December 31st of the year of entry for admission into Kindergarten.
    • A child must be six years old by December 31st of the year of entry for admission into Grade 1.
    • Non-Refundable Application Fee: $90.00
  • Grades 2 and 3 Requirements

    • On-site testing
    • Standardized test scores from previous years (if available)
    • Teacher recommendations
    • Final report card from previous school year
    • First semester (or first trimester) report card for current school year
    • Portfolio materials (optional)
    • Mentor recommendations (optional)
    • Birth certificate (copy)
    • Baptismal certificate (if Catholic)
    • Non-Refundable Application Fee: $90.00
  • Grades 4-12 Requirements

    • Interview
    • SSAT test scores - Maryknoll Code #4913 (applicants to grades 11 and 12 may submit PSAT or SAT scores)
    • Teacher recommendations
    • Final report card from previous school year
    • First semester (or first trimester) report card for current school year
    • Standardized test scores from previous years (if available)
    • Portfolio materials (optional)
    • Mentor recommendations (optional)
    • Birth certificate

Admission Qualification Process


Admission procedures are designed to select students who will benefit the most from the programs offered at Maryknoll School. Students are accepted at all levels with major entry points being Kindergarten, Grade 6, and Grade 9. Special consideration is given to qualified alumni children, siblings of current Maryknoll students, Catholic families, and children with special talents that will enrich the school’s community.

All applicants are required to attend an on-site assessment/interview. We will send you a letter confirming your scheduled date by mail.

  • Students applying to Kindergarten will be observed in small group and individual activities. Areas to be assessed include fine motor skills, language development, group behavior, and academic readiness. 
  • Students applying to grades 1–3 will be assessed in the areas of math, reading, and writing.
  • Students applying to grades 4–12 are required to attend an interview session on our campus.

Deadline to complete the Parent's Financial Statement (PFS) online and upload all required documents.

Families of newly-admitted students (grades 6-12) that meet the February 23 Financial Aid deadline will receive decision letters by mid-April.

Families of newly-admitted students (grades K-5) & that meet the February 23 Financial Aid deadline will receive decision letters in early May.

Note: Current families of students who have re-enrolled on-time and meet the February 23 Financial Aid deadline will receive their Financial Aid award letters in early May.
